This paper proposes the design and manufacture of a platform based in CAN bus. Two of the high-level protocols are presented: CANOpen and SAE J1939 to show an industrial process to scale. The platform serves as a demonstration and learning guide for industrial networks, protocols and combine different manufacturer’s devices. The parts classification process is under the command of a Twido PLC and the system variables can be observed and manipulated from a local HMI.
